Jerome Aaron Moore (1903-1986) received bachelor's and master's degrees in Spanish from Texas Christian University during the 1920s. After beginning his teaching career at Texas Woman's University and earning a PhD in Spanish literature from the University of Pennsylvania, he became the first dean of Add Ran College at TCU in 1943.
